3. CRACOW - THE ROYAL CITY

This sightseeing tour takes you to the main sites of Cracow.
We will show you Wawel Castle, which was the residence
of many Polish kings. The wonders of this place are included
on the UNESCO World Heritage Site List. Next to the Castle
is the Royal Cathedral, which played the important role
as a coronation place of successive Polish monarchs. Then
you will visit the Old Town and the Market Square - the
heart of Cracow. There is the large Gothic Cloth Hall
- the best place for shopping. On the opposite side of
the Market is St. Mary's Church with its famous medieval
altar created by Wit Stwosz. Also we will show you Kazimierz
- historical center of Cracow's Jewish religious and social
life. This places were used by Steven Spielberg, as location
for shots of the Oscar winning "Schindler's List". Then
we would like to recommend you two alternative steps of
our Cracow Tour. Please select one, you would like to
visit: Wieliczka or Auschwitz.
WIELICZKA - is famous as one of the oldest salt mines
in Europe, it has been in operation for at least 700 years.
The oldest part of the mine is opened to the public as
a museum. All figures, chapels, chambers and monuments
are created in a pure salt. The Wieliczka Salt Mine was
places on the UNESCO World Heritage Site List.
AUSCHWITZ - is the largest Nazi concentration camp from
the II World War. About 1.500.000 people were killed there.
The tour begins with a 15-minute documentary film about
the liberation of the camp, then museum-guide shows you
exhibitions in some of the surviving prison blocks, the
gas chamber and the crematorium. |

4. ZELAZOWA WOLA - FREDERIC CHOPIN'S HOUSE

Frederic Chopin was one of the greatest Polish composers
- creating his works in the epoch of romanticism. His
manor house in Zelazowa Wola is a world - famous sanctuary
dedicated to his music. You can visit the house and gardens.
If you will be visiting this place on Sunday you can stay
and listen to piano recitals of his music. Then we will
go to Brochow 16th-century parish church, where Chopin's
parents were married and Frederic was baptized. This fortified
Gothic church is an architectural treasure. Later our
tour leads us to Nieborow - a gorgeous palace and unique
park - Radziwiłł's family residence. The last step of
our exiting tour is Kampinos Forest, where you will visit
the heritage park. |

5. MALBORK CASTLE AND GDANSK - THE CITY OF POLISH
AMBER

Gdansk is the city with a thousand year history. You can
find many picturesque houses, gates and gothic churches
on the Old Town area. We will show you the Town Hall and
the Artus Court in front of which there is one of the
well-known Polish fountain - the Fountain of Neptune.
The hands of eminent architects and artists have given
eternal life to the city's ages of prosperity. There will
be the possibility to buy some souvenirs - the world famous
amber jeweler. Also you will visit Oliwa - the part of
Gdansk - there is the Cathedral of 14th century with splendid
organ. On the way back we will show you Malbork - Teutonic
Castle, which was founded in 1276 as a residence of the
Teutonic Grand Master. Now there is a museum - contains
historical weapons and Poland's largest collection of
amber.
